Overview
This article applies to SaaS clients deployed within the HEMS Automatic Upgrades SaaS environment. If you are unsure of your environment, please contact our support team for clarification.
We regularly update our SaaS environment to maintain performance, reliability, and security. Updates are applied automatically by our team, so no action is required to install them.
We deliver updates in two ways:
- Minor releases (monthly)
- Emergency fixes and patches (as needed)
Update Types
Minor Releases (Monthly)
Minor releases include general improvements, small enhancements, and non-critical bug fixes. They occur monthly during our standard monthly maintenance window on the 3nd Tues. of each month at 10pm EST. An individual client instance will usually experience under 30 minutes of planned downtime. When downtime is expected to be greater than normal, we will provide advance communication.
Communication
- The Release Notes Section of the knowledge base summarizes the changes within each release and is published on or slightly before the release date.
- Authorized Support Contacts receive an email on the release date.
Emergency Fixes and Patches
Emergency fixes and patches are deployed outside the regular release schedule to address critical issues. They are limited to targeted fixes. Examples include service-impacting defects, security vulnerabilities, and high impact performance or stability issues.
Communication
- Authorized Support Contacts for impacted clients will receive an email on the release date.
